We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon dining at your establishment last week. My family and I (all 16 of us) sat in the back alcove and were waited on by the absolutely fantastic, Nicholas. HE was superb!! Hope he is still wearing the button we gave him!
We had a variety of items from the menu.....all out soups were perfect.
We LOVED everything about DUKE'S!
Drove down from the North side, because we had heard about the restaurant from some friends. It was great! The food was fabulous;some traditional, some unusual. Aidas, our waiter was just great! He was very helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back and will bring the family next time.

My family and I met some Chicago friends at Grand Duke's on Wednesday March 10. We had never been there below. It was superb. I am sorry i do not have the name of our server but she was friendly and patient with us. We will be back when we return to Chicago.
i have been there last Saturday with my friend. i completely wasnt satisfied with server. she couldnt understand what i was saying. Why dont you hire Lithuanian people. I would never come back because of that Romanian girl.and she looked like angry all the time. Sorry guys. your fault.
We had our first visit tonight and everything was wonderful! Great mushroom soup, wonderful Lithuanian platter and chichilianis!!! Great service and the atmosphere was wonderfully dark and cool after a hot day. Great entertainment. We will be back and tell our friends!
I ate at Grand Duke's Restaurant last Saturday (8/7/10) and I thought it was wonderful. Their menu has a lot of the traditional Lithuanian foods that I grew up with and I was thrilled to be able to drink Svyturys beer, which I fell in love with while visiting Lithuania two months ago. Our waitress was very friendly and didn't even make fun of my limited Lithuanian language skills! The decor was authentic and I wish they had a restaurant like that in New York City, where I live.
We just found out about your restaurant and just can not wait to go for dinner! How about a 'sattelite' restaurant here in Indianapolis? I will even hostess for you!
Okay so I signed up for a birthday club to get a free meal on my birthday, however never received anything in my email, did you guys discontinue to program???? If so I'd be very dissapointed :-(. Noreciau ateit su seima, bet ateisiu tik tada kai gausiu gimatdienio kupona :-) haha
Myself and my Lugan cousin live in Indiana and have traveled there to have lunch twice so far and loved every minute of our experience. We like the nostolgic factor as well as some dishes our Mom's and Gramdma used to make. Wev'e had young Lithuanian ladies as waitresses both times and loved talking to them and asking questions about how to pronounce words that we remember. The bloody mary's, Svyturys, sevice, and price were all worth the 200+ miles for the round trip... hope to take the trip every 1-2 months.
We stopped in for lunch this past Saturday, on the recommendation of a relative that had been here previously. When we arrived around noon (from just outside of Milwaukee), only several booths were occupied, but by the time we left it was quite full. We were very happy with the quality of the food. My wife and I each had the combo platter (good starter for Lithuaninan food 'rookies' we think). We thought it was FANTASTIC. Up there in quality as made by a good Lithuanian cook at home (which is saying something). My wife had the saurkraut soup and I had cold beet - Shalti barschai (forgive the 'h's, don't have the keyboard for the proper characters), EXCELLENT also. We only wish Grand Duke's was a little closer than the two hour drive we have (our initial reason to travel was to visit the Racine Bakery, but next time will have to try the Grand Duke's deli first!). Buvo labai malonu valgyti pas jus... Pasimatysim vel. Oh,
My sister and I visited Grand Dukes on our visit to Chicago. The expensive cab ride there and back from downtown was well worth it! Our cravings for homestyle Lithuanian food were surely satisfied. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in the windy city. Thank you for the hospitality!
We have been back many times! Birthdays, special days, just hungry days and we are never disappointed. I am half Lithuanian and I love to see the Lungan faces and here the beautiful Lithuanian language and live music. Love the atmosphere too! Thank you Grand Duke!!
I had my entire thanksgiving dinner catered from Grand Duke's this year and the food was fantastic! Everyone raved about how perfect and juicy the turkey was. We only had a little bit of leftovers in the end so it was just the right amount of food for my party. I will definitely cater from them again.
Everytime my daughters fly in from Denver and I drive in from Indianapolis, our first stop with my brother (who lives in Oak Lawn) is Grand Duke's. We love the food and my grandchildren love the decor. My parents and my siblings were all born in Lithuania, so Grand Duke brings back memories of my mother's cooking. Thank you.
Few days ago my family and I had dinner at this restaurant, I had pork shish kabobs and for the next few days was very sick! This restaurant does not serve fresh food at all! Very disappointed! And will not come back again.
We had an outstanding time at Grand Dukes once again. We were celebrating a few 50 yr olds birthdays & the whole group enjoyed the Lithuanian hospitality & of course great food & drink! If you were there last Sat night, we were the group who started the large Conga line! We plan on being back for more...
